Although our earliest days were in technology our desire for improve people's work experiences led us all to agile. Through our years of experience we became enterprise coaches supporting some of Australia's biggest companies through their transformations. But something was missing.
Agile had become a process. The aspiration we had about freeing people to deliver their best work had evaporated. Agile was now being used to restrict rather than empower. Outcomes were marginally better but people had become overburdened and ground-down.
Taking inspiration from Dr Merelyn Emery ond Open Systems Theory we set out to find out what was really possible. The work of Laloux, Hamel and Coporate Rebels showed us there was a different path. We set out to learn more from the world's most inspiring companies.
Now we have run training with Buurtzorg Australia, become SEMCO style experts, and become a Haier Model Institute Research Center. We have had our ideas validated by some of the world's leading organisations and thinkers including Gary Hamel and Chairman Zhang Ruimin of Haier himself. Now we are ready to help others take their first tentative steps to their own desirable futures.
The Team
Desirable Futures is borne of our commitment
to improve the world of work for everyone.
